Student of the month is a good way to recognize students who may not be recognized normally, and is a great accompaniment to teacher of the month. “I was surprised, I didn’t know they were doing something like that, so it was a shock to me,” Reed said. “I’m proud I was able to do that, I wasn’t expecting it and was very surprised,” Landis said. “I’m just really surprised, I want to know who nominated me,” Hayes said. “I was happy when I found out I was nominated, plus I got a subway gift card,” Matthews said. The students who won were freshman Dean Reed, sophomore Daniel Landis, junior Alaysha Hayes, and senior Archie Matthews.
